Arise BloomingMen

Purpose Statement

The Arise BloomingMen event is an annual gathering that aims to inspire men to deepen their walk with Christ and take action in their faith. Through encouragement, practical teaching, and shared experiences, it fosters a supportive community where men grow spiritually, address common challenges, and glorify God together.

Town Hall Meeting on January 28th, 2025

We spent some time in the fall discussing this idea. After three sessions we concluded that the next practical step was to get the word out to the larger Bloomington Church Community. We know we cannot do it alone, and we need their help.

This is an informational meeting, not a commitment. We believe that a lot of people, each doing a little, can make a big difference. The Town Hall will help you understand the scope of what’s being planned and how you might be able to play a role, big or small, in bringing it to life—no pressure, no obligations. Just a shared vision for what’s possible when we unite as a community of faith.

Hello [Recipient]:

Men’s Life Bloomington has been around for a long time — since 1987. During the years of their existence they have had broad community support. In addition to a twice monthly small group study, they have sponsored 49 luncheons that have included guests like football coach Tom Allen, Indy weather forecaster Chuck Lofton, Senator Todd Young and local businessman Cary Curry. It is not sponsored by a single church, but is attended by men from over 25 different churches.

The group is considering hosting a city-wide Men’s event called “Arise BloomingMen.” They know they can’t do it alone and they are hosting a “Town Hall” event on January 28th (noon) at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club. A slice or two of pizza will be provided for lunch. The format and purpose is explained on the attached pdf. It would be great if you could or an associate could attend to show your support and learn more.

If you have questions and to let them know that someone will attend, please send a note to: rsvp@menslifebloomington.org.

Thanks.
