{"id":666,"date":"2016-10-06T15:03:50","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T19:03:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/menslifebloomington.org\/bloomenlife\/?p=666"},"modified":"2016-10-06T15:05:25","modified_gmt":"2016-10-06T19:05:25","slug":"motivate-your-child-seminar-on-november-11th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/menslifebloomington.org\/bloomenlife\/2016\/10\/06\/motivate-your-child-seminar-on-november-11th\/","title":{"rendered":"Motivate Your Child Seminar on November 11th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u201cMotivate Your Child\u201d Seminar coming on November 11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An outstanding Christian parenting seminar will be held in Bloomington on Friday evening, <strong>November 11<\/strong>.\u00a0 The seminar is from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at <strong>Faith Lutheran Church<\/strong>, 2200 South High Street, just a block north of Child\u2019s Elementary School.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers will be Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, MSN, from the National Center for Biblical Parenting, headquartered in New Jersey.\u00a0 They use a heart-based approach, grounded in Scripture, with practical application to families. It&#8217;s an interactive presentation that is practical and demonstrates what this approach to parenting actually looks like on a day-to-day basis. Teach your children how to be internally motivated, take initiative, and do what they need to do without being told. Learn practical tools for changing everyday problems into learning experiences to help children develop the skills they\u2019ll need for the rest of their lives.\u00a0 <strong>This event is appropriate for parents (grandparents, caregivers \u00a0and teachers, too) of children ages 2-18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The local seminar planning team from Faith Lutheran Church includes Bill Pfrommer, Janet Hitzeman, Vicky Hillenburg, Marilyn Zimmerman, Jessica Kelwaski, Jean Scott, Megan Abbott and Carol &amp; <strong>Dave Ebeling<\/strong>.\u00a0 They will provide posters and flyers for distribution in churches, preschools, K-12 schools, and any group that includes Christian parents.\u00a0 Phone or send a note to the church (<a href=\"mailto: office@faithlutheranbloomington.org\">office@faithlutheranbloomington.org<\/a> \/ 812.332.1668) to arrange for delivery of promotion materials or for a member of the planning team to personally talk with an individual or group about the event.\u00a0 Feel free to <strong>forward this invitation<\/strong> via social media.<\/p>\n<p>Early registrations made during the month of October are just <strong>$10\/person<\/strong>.\u00a0 In November, the fee is $15\/person.\u00a0 Free child care is available for those who register their children in advance.
